Oppo Mobile Technologies has shown interest in establishing a production unit in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to satisfy the growing demand for smartphones in Pakistan.
Oppo is one of the leading Chinese Smart Phone producing company. Its Chief executive officer (CEO), George Long, met with KP minister of finance Taimur Saleem Jhagra to debate the starting of an outsized scale production unit within the KPK province.
Special Assistant to KP Chief Minister on Science Technology and Information Technology (ST&IT), Kamran Bangash, was also present in the meeting. The Chinese delegation had a comprehensive delegation with the provincial minister of finance relating to Oppo Mobile Technology’s investment in KP.
The chief operating officer of the Chinese company told that the inauguration of the assembly unit can produce employment opportunities for over 4000 people whereas making certain the provision of reasonable quality mobile phones to Pakistan.
The provincial minister welcomes Oppo’s investment in the country and guaranteed full cooperation and provision of facilities to the Oppo. The KP minister of finance and the special assistant to CM apprised the Chinese delegation regarding the steps undertaken by the provincial government for promotion of investment.
