During this period, TikTok removed over 176 million videos globally, accounting for about 1% of all uploads. The platform’s automated detection systems played a significant role in identifying and removing over 128 million of these videos, with some being reinstated upon review.
In Pakistan, TikTok took action against nearly 19 million videos for guideline violations, demonstrating its commitment to combatting breaches effectively. Additionally, measures were taken to curb spam accounts and related content. Notably, the vast majority of offending videos were removed within 24 hours of posting, with a global proactive removal rate of 99.5%.
Part of TikTok’s efforts involved deleting nearly 20 million accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13, reflecting its commitment to protecting younger users. The platform’s Community Guidelines are enforced consistently to create a safe and inclusive environment for all users, with a focus on fairness.
