Suzuki to Discontinue Mehran VX From December 2018

According to Suzuki “Pakistan most favorite & industry leading” hatchback car at last is being put to a full-stop, Pak Suzuki will discontinue Mehran VX according to a statement given by them. Pak Suzuki has given a notification to its dealers allover Pakistan and announced that it will be discontinuing Mehran VX Model SB-308 from November this year, however, dealers say that the VXR variant (with air-conditioner) will be discontinued from March 2019.

Many people would be delighted to know that Pak Suzuki is finally pulling the plug on the Suzuki Mehran VX. The company has officially announced a deadline after which it will stop producing the outdated hatchback:

“Dear, valued vendor(s), Management of PSMCL has decided to discontinue its Model SB308 only version VX(Mehran) from end November 2018.”

“In view of above, it is important to note that all the respective local parts should be produced and supply according to schedules to be sent to you on monthly basis for remaining production plan of 6734 units to be produced from June 2018 to End November 2018.”

This notice however did not make a mention regarding the Mehran VXR variant, but the sources in the company said VXR will continue till March 2019. Mehran is a globally obsolete hatchback. Pakistan is the only country in which it still manufactured. It got discontinued internationally back in the 90’s.

Suzuki will introduce the next-generation 660cc Alto in March 2019 which will have a price tag of Rs 850,000-900,000 (approx) for the basic variant, though an official announcement in this regard is awaited. But now we will Say Good Bye because Suzuki to Discontinue Mehran VX from December 2018
