MIUI 10 update is coming for 20+ new Smartphones

Last July, we saw the initial list of devices that will get MIUI ROM 10. The first batch of devices began receiving ROM MIUI 10 in September, and today the Chinese media announced the launch of MIUI 10 to 21 additional phones. One of the phones which is not on the list is the Pocophone F1 because its already on the receiving end, Now the same update has been made available to Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4X and Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphones and other more Xiaomi phones.

After addition of these phones the total to reached to 39 mobiles. MIUI 10 is the latest version of the new Xiaomi interface, where the company launched its stable version in the first half of 2018. Xiaomi proved to have done a very good job with this update as MiUi solved many problems and added many new and revolutionary features such as fingerprint, Put the portraiture for one camera phones.

The list includes many phones came out in 2016 plus the Xiaomi Mi 4 phone which launched in August 2014. It’s great to see that Xiaomi still supports these phones with updates over four years (even if MIUI 10 does not support the latest version of Android 9.0 Pie).

The new update could be downloaded via OTA Program and also can be installed manually by navigating to Settings > About Phone > System Update > Choose Update and then select the download file to install MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM.

What’s new in MiUi 10?

The new MIUI 10 Rom focuses on gestures and the experience of use that takes full advantage of the screen space. It also allows the devices to get better images thanks to artificial intelligence, even in old phones with only one camera at the back. Moreover, this update also brings with it new tones that mimic the sounds of nature based on place and time of day. There are also better Car Mode modes and design-level improvements.

MIUI 10 system is based on AI deep learning. MIUI 10 let Applications to be used and preloads in the background so that when the user eventually launches the App, it takes no time to boot. MIUI 10 also optimize overall system’s operation such that it feels smooth when sliding the screen. In addition, on MIUI 10, full-screen gestures replace the traditional virtual buttons. You can now slide back to the desktop, or slide up and hover to enter the multitasking interface.

Disappointingly, the MIUI 10 Global Stable build for the Redmi Note 4 is still based on Android 7.0 Nougat, and not the newer Android Oreo. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, and the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 are all powered by the same SoC, but they run Android Oreo. The Redmi Note 4, on the other hand, is stuck with Android Nougat.
